Workmanship Guarantee

Your refinished cabinets are covered by this 3-Year Written Warranty against peeling, cracking, fading, or adhesion failure under normal residential use. This warranty does not cover damage caused by water, chemicals, high heat, impact, or misuse — such as placing hot or steaming pans directly on painted surfaces or exposing them to heat-producing appliances for extended periods.

Touch-Ups

Precision Painting offers free minor touch-ups within the first 12 months if any issues appear after normal settling or use. Color and sheen are affected by direct or indirect UV rays from the sun, making a perfect match after thirty days after project completion nearly impossible.

Products and Materials

All coatings are premium-grade, including shellac-based primer for maximum adhesion and Sherwin-Williams Emerald Urethane Enamel for a durable, factory-quality finish. Substitutions of equal or greater quality may be made based on availability.

Shellac Primer is a high-VOC product, meaning it has a strong odor during application, that will linger. It is, however, the most effective sealer and adhesion-promoting primer available for cabinet refinishing. The benefits far outweigh this single drawback, and proper ventilation is always provided during use. Sherwin-Williams Emerald Urethane Enamel, the finish coat, requires approximately 30 days to fully cure. During that time, the surfaces should be treated gently—avoid wiping with any detergent or chemical cleaner. If wiping is necessary, use only water and a soft, non-abrasive cloth.

Customer Responsibilities

To ensure a smooth project and maintain warranty coverage, the customer agrees to:

​

• Provide clear access to the work area, working electrical outlets, and water.

• Provide access to a bathroom for crew members during work hours.

• Maintain indoor temperatures between 65–75°F during painting and curing. dipping below or above these temps could cause problems and will void the warranty.

• Avoid using the kitchen during the refinishing process (typically 5–7 days).

• Maintain propper humidity. Ideal humidity range for drying and curing is 40-50% RH. Below 30% and above 70% can cause problems and will void the warranty. 

• Avoid cleaning or scrubbing the cabinets for at least 30 days after completion to allow for full curing.

• Reserve parking space for Precision Painting’s vehicle during the project.

• We may leave some equipment, materials, lighting, and perhaps a ladder or two somewhere on the property, and we hope that will not make you feel inconvenienced.

• We ask that you designate a spot for us to keep our materials and equipment overnight during the project.

 

Payment Terms

A 45% deposit is due at booking to secure your project start date.
The remaining balance is due immediately upon completion and customer approval, on the day we finish.
Any additional work, color changes, or scope modifications must be approved in writing via a change order that we will produce for you to sign and may affect pricing and/or scheduling.

Warranty Service Process

If a warranty issue arises, contact Precision Painting of Sioux City at (your phone number) or by email. We’ll schedule an inspection and determine whether repair or refinishing is required. Warranty work will be completed at no charge within the covered period.
